- Powerskating for U10/U12/U14/U16 with Bruno Delmaestro
Unfortunately Bruno’s website is down but you can find him here on facebook with some skating sessions that he’s recorded for his hockey camps. He has worked with some elite ringette players in the province and has some specific things that he likes to work on with ringette players. He was an Italian National figure skating champion so if you speak Italian make sure to say “Caio”!
- Ringette Skills and Skating Instruction for U07/U09 with Megan Goss
Megan has been playing ringette for 18+ years. She has represented Delta, Burnaby, Fraser Valley and Vancouver associations as well as being part of the Lower Mainland elite AA program. She has coached and is very excited to give back to this sport. One of her claims to fame is being the top U16 shooter in all of Canada when she participated in the Canadian Ringette Championship.
- Ringette Skills for U10/U12/U14/U16 with Jenn Fahlham and Natasha Smyrnnis
Jenn is originally from Saskatchewan where she participated in many elite teams eventually playing for the National Ringette League (NRL) – the absolute top level of ringette in Canada. She plays for the Vancouver Ringette Association Beavers which are the adult players of the sport. She is very enthusiastic about working with the kids to develop their skating, passing and shots!
Natasha has been on the Vancouver Ringette Board for a number of years and helps every year with player evaluations as well as Come Try Ringette sessions. Natasha started the sport later than many but with dedication, perseverance and (we image) some extra powerskating lessons she was able to play at the top level in BC after just a few years in the sport. She is currently attending UBC and will also be working with the campers off-ice doing some sport specific presentations.
Groups 2 and 3 are FULL but there is still some room in the U07/U09 group. Contact VRACommunications@gmail.com for registration information.
