2025/2026 Registration

Welcome to the 2025/2026 season!

Registration is now open for Youth and Adult players.

The changes made last season by Ringette BC to the U14 – U19 Club divisions (Female Club and All Gender Club teams) and to U14 to U19 Zone teams (Female Only and Male Only) continue to be in effect this season. You can read about the changes in the  2024/2025 Ringette BC Competition Framework and Programming Update here. There is detailed information to help you make a decision about where to register your player.

Note that there are no changes to the FUN1, FUN2, U10, U12, Open, and Masters teams. The Masters team will support both a Development team and a League playing team.

For your first registration in RAMP, you will be required to provide both proof of age (birth certificate, Care Card, Passport) and proof of residence (drivers license, utility bill, or residency letter signed by the appropriate municipal authority).  If you have registered in RAMP before, you will only need to provide proof of residence, as this must be updated every year.  Please have this ready to upload via photo or pdf as you cannot complete the registration without them.

Ringette BC has made changes to how they collect their fees.  Beginning this season, Ringette BC will be taking their fee at the time of registration.  When registering, you will be prompted to pay that amount before proceeding to your season registration with VRA.

New for this year, jersey and volunteer deposits will be taken via a $0.01 hold on your credit card.  If jerseys are not returned at the end of the season or required volunteer hours are not completed, the following will be charged at the end of the season:

  • $100 jersey deposit for FUN1 to U12
  • $200 jersey deposit for U14 and higher
  • $150 volunteer deposit

Costs for the season include:

  • Registration fee
  • VRA plaid pyjama bottoms for FUN1 – U19
  • VRA sweatpants for Open and Masters

Additional applicable fees (to be determined at the team level):

  • tournaments
  • year end coach gifts

The ringette season runs from September through mid-March.

  • FUN1 will have weekly practices and play approximately 6 friendly games with neighbouring associations.
  • FUN2 and above divisions have one practice (see tentative schedule on main page), and one game time (typically on the weekend) per week. FUN2 games start in the late fall. Teams are expected to play both Home and Away games against other Lower Mainland associations  Informal tournament play may begin as early as  November.
  • For U10 and above, games alternate between Home game and Away game locations each week. Home games are held at a Richmond rink and Away games are held at another association’s rink in the Lower Mainland. Additional practices are scheduled throughout the season.
  • There are also several tournament weekends throughout the season. See Lower Mainland Ringette League for more information.
  • You need to register in the association where you are resident and addresses are  confirmed by the registrar. All registrants must register in the division corresponding to their birth year and provide a birth co certificate to confirm  their birthdate, which will be stored in RAMP. The league is strict on this rule.

Registration Fees

This season, we will have youth teams at 7 levels and 2 levels of adult players

Payments

Payments for the 2025/26 season must be paid with a credit card. Please note that Ringette BC fees must be paid first, as prompted in RAMP, before paying the VRA portion of fees. The VRA portion can be paid in full or in installments of $15 at registration and then two equal payments on September 2nd and October 2nd. If you register after an installment date, that amount is due at registration.

Players that commit to playing goalie half time or more in older divisions (U12 to Masters) will receive a rebate equal to half the registration fee at the end of March 2026.

Late Registration

Players U12 and up can register to join Vancouver Ringette Association up until December 1st, 2025. At U10 and under, players can register at any time during the season. The full registration amount must be paid, regardless of start date.

Financial Hardships

In the case of financial hardship, there are programs such as Jumpstart and Kidsport  available that will help subsidize the registration fees. These programs require applications, so please be in touch with these organizations and inform the VRA Registrar or the VRA Treasurer if subsidy is needed. If you are applying for Kidsport, you will need to enter your Kidsport application number when registering with Ringette BC.  Jumpstart will be accepted for the VRA portion of fees, but cannot be used to pay the Ringette BC portion of fees.  These programs do not cover the entire portion of the registration fee.

In addition to the registration fees, there may be extra fees required throughout the season, as decided upon by the team. Teams may choose to participate in tournaments.  These tournaments are not covered in the VRA registration fee. If financial help is needed to pay for these extra-curricular fees, please contact the VRA Registrar or VRA Treasurer.
