VRA End of Summer Camp 2022

Just a note to let you know that registration for the VRA End of Summer Camp is open to other associations and we’re seeing a big uptake from players outside of VRA. As well we will be advertising wider and earlier this year.  If you are planning to register please do so sooner, rather than later, to avoid disappointment. Also consider bringing a friend to introduce them to ringette!

For those who can’t wait, just register here >>>  VRA End of Summer Camp 2022

Vancouver Ringette Association is now in its seventh year of hosting a community level ringette summer camp at Trout Lake (3360 Victoria Drive).  This full day camp running August 29 to September 2 – it is great conditioning for the start of the season, and it also helps getting the kids acclimatized to getting up in the morning for the start of the school year.  We’ve heard time and again that our players consider this ringette camp the best summer camp they attend and they have a lot of fun with their friends on the ice.  We also have had players from other associations join our camp and they have also enjoyed all aspects of the camp.

The camp is staffed from 9 to 5 each day though we are flexible about pickups so if a shorter day is desired we can accommodate.  Campers will get 2 to 3 ice times a day with an open skate and BBQ on the final day so parents that have their own skates and helmets can join us on the ice.

The cost for this program is $300 for the entire week and it is open to skaters with birth years from 2008 to 2016. We do expect all participants to be able to skate but we have enough staff to ensure that everyone is appropriately challenged and that we can help with lacing skates!  If anyone who did not register last season they are welcome but there is an additional $20 charged for insurance.

Questions can be directed to Roxanne at vracommunications@gmail.com.  If you have a friend who is interested in trying ringette this is the best way to learn about ringette and make some friends.

For those that are interested, you can register at  VRA End of Summer Camp 2022.
