The on ice component of the session will begin at 5:15PM so please arrive 30 minutes in advance (4:45PM) to give yourself enough time to put on skates, helmet and any padding and for our team of volunteers to get name tags, waivers and introductions done before the session begins at 5:15PM. 

Please don’t forget
    •    skates and helmet (we will have free rentals if you need them)
    •    warm clothing (for parents as well as the arena is chilly)
    •    any protective padding
    •    gloves
    •    any questions you may have about ringette in Vancouver

Springette 2026

Registration for VRA’s 2026 Springette Program is now open!

We will have 10 sessions of Springette on Sundays, held at Trout Lake Arena:

  • April 12, 19, 26
  • May 10, 24, 31
  • June 7, 14, 21, 28

 Please note that there will be no sessions on May 3 due to the AGM and on May 17 due to the May long weekend.

Ice Times

  • Group 1: First year U10 and FUN 1/2 (players born in 2018 and later)  5:45 pm – 6:30 pm
  • Group 2: Second year U10 and U12 (players born in 2015, 2016, and 2017)  6:45 – 7:45 pm
  • Group 3: U14 and U16 (players born in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014)  8:00 – 9:00 pm

For each of our Group 1 sessions, there will be a mix of skills development and scrimmages. 

For Group 2 and Group 3, half of the sessions will be skills development and half will be scrimmages.

Please register for the level you will be playing in the Fall of 2026. Groups may be adjusted based on registration numbers and skill level. Group 1 skaters must be able to skate independently.

For FUNs and first year U10s (players born in 2018 and later), the cost will be $125 for registered players.  For second year U10s and up (players born in 2017 and earlier), the cost will be $200 for registered players.  

Players that were not registered with Ringette BC for the 2025-2026 season will be required to pay an additional $70 to cover insurance.  This will come up as an optional package upon registration and is mandatory for those not already insured.  If you are unsure whether your child has insurance, please reach out to the Registrar at vraregistrar@gmail.com to confirm prior to registering.  Please note that if your child registers with Vancouver Ringette for the 2026/27 season, the fee will be credited toward their registration.

Please note that there is pay parking at Trout Lake; however, arena users are eligible for three hours of free parking.  Please register your vehicle at the kiosk in the rink lobby at each session to avoid a parking fine.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellation on or before March 20, 2026 – full refund
  • Cancellation after March 31, 2026 – refund of registration fee less $25 administration fee
  • Cancellation after April 11, 2026 – no refund

Grow the Sport Exhibition Games

We are excited to invite male and non-binary players to participate in our third annual “Grow The Sport Exhibition Game”!

This event is designed to foster a love for ringette in a fun, inclusive, and worry-free environment, where players can enjoy playing ringette and connect with others. The goal is to maintain and grow interest in the sport among male and non-binary players.Open to all Ringette BC male and non-binary players U10-U16.  Younger players are encouraged to stay to watch the U14/U16 game and cheer!  Snacks will be provided.(If participant numbers are low, we will organize a mini skills competition instead, featuring activities like speed, agility, and shooting challenges.) 

Date : Saturday January 24, 2026

U10-U12 Time: 3:15pm – 4:30pm

U14-U16 Time: 4:45pm – 6:00pm

Location : Moody Park Arena, 701 8th Ave, New Westminster

Registration Fee: $10/player
The registration fee will go toward covering referee payments and snacks for the players. If there are not enough participants for a full game, the funds will be used to provide pizza and prizes for the skills competition.

Winter Break 2025 Power Skating

VRA is offering power skating over Winter Break. Join Lucas, a Grandview Skating Club power skating instructor and rep hockey coach, for sessions focused on strong edges, acceleration, and skating efficiency. These sessions are designed to help players build confidence, improve power, and refine technical skating skills.

Summer Coach Development Camp 2025

Hi Coaches, Jr. Coaches, Camp Leaders, On-Ice Helpers, and anyone interested in coaching or expanding their knowledge of the game,

We’re pleased to invite you to our Coach Development Camp, running August 11–15 (excluding Tuesday) at Trout Lake.

This free camp is designed to support your growth as a coach with a series of engaging sessions led by experienced players and coaches who have competed at elite levels. Each session will focus on a specific aspect of coaching, including on-ice demonstrations, skill breakdowns, and opportunities for questions and networking.

Pre-registration is required so session leaders can plan accordingly. We hope to see all coaches there!

Labour Day Lollapalooza!

August 30-31, 2025

FORTY years of playing ringette in Vancouver and we are celebrating with a fun U10/U12 tournament. This will follow on from a week of development for coaches, Officials and players!

Each player will get 4 games minimum for the insanely low price of $50. VRA Summer Camp is subsidizing this event to promote a cross association bit of fun. When they all start playing in the upcoming season these kids will know each other and expand our community.

There will be a bare bones event (hence the price) but top banana awards will be given to hard working teammates. Hopefully everyone likes bananas lol.

Goalies playing 2+ games will receive a VRA goalie patch and they may be able to play for multiple teams to get more games if we’re running short. Equipment for goalies will be provided by VRA if needed.

Teams of individuals born 2014 to 2018 will be created based on individual registrations. Since teams will be mixed we need to know a bit about your players such as positions preferred (at least 2), number of years playing ringette and skating and how many goals they made last season (estimated). We will try to group some friends together but part of the goal for this tournament is to meet new people so we hope everyone is open to that.

Players registered for the 2024 season are welcome to register without paying insurance but those who did not register for the 2024/25 ringette season will have to pay an additional insurance fee.
