Players will sharpen their ringette skills this summer over sessions of skills development and power skating!

The skills portion of this camp focuses on smart decision-making, man on coverage, and confident execution to help players elevate their performance in every zone.  Dynamic on-ice activities will boost players’ passing, shooting, agility, and game awareness.

Power skating sessions will be run by Whitney Juszkiewicz, the award-winning coach and founder of Fire & Ice Hockey Development.  With years of experience coaching athletes across Canada and a reputation for high-energy, skill-based instruction, Whitney helps players build confidence and speed on the ice. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your angles, master rebound control, or strengthen your ability to read the play, this is a rare opportunity to train with one of the best in the game.

Train with an Olympian & World Champion

Kimberly Newell brings a wealth of elite experience to the ice, including:

Summer Coach Development Camp

Hi Coaches, Jr Coaches, Camp Leaders, On-Ice Helpers, and anyone interested in becoming a Coach or just looking to improve their knowledge of the game.

We are very excited to invite you to your very own development camp!

VRA has asked special guests who have played and/or coached at elite levels to come out and share their knowledge with you on 4 different topics, with on ice demos and opportunities to see skills in action/ask questions and make connections! The topics include offensive zone tactics and breakouts, defensive strategies, how to teach powerskating, and how to keep the fun in practice while building skills.

The sessions are completely free, but we ask that you sign up so we know who will be there! We hope all coaches will make it!

The sessions are from 9:00 to 10:15pm at Trout Lake Arena, Aug 19th – 23rd.  There will also be an off ice session on Monday from 7:45-8:45 pm to go over some offensive strategies before continuation of the same topic on ice on Monday.

See you on the ice!
