Hi Coaches, Jr. Coaches, Camp Leaders, On-Ice Helpers, and anyone interested in coaching or expanding their knowledge of the game,
We’re pleased to invite you to our Coach Development Camp, running August 11–15 (excluding Tuesday) at Trout Lake.
This free camp is designed to support your growth as a coach with a series of engaging sessions led by experienced players and coaches who have competed at elite levels. Each session will focus on a specific aspect of coaching, including on-ice demonstrations, skill breakdowns, and opportunities for questions and networking.
Pre-registration is required so session leaders can plan accordingly. We hope to see all coaches there!
Session Highlights:
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to refine your approach, this camp offers valuable insights and practical tools for coaches at all levels.
We look forward to seeing you on the ice!
August 30-31, 2025
FORTY years of playing ringette in Vancouver and we are celebrating with a fun U10/U12 tournament. This will follow on from a week of development for coaches, Officials and players!
Each player will get 4 games minimum for the insanely low price of $50. VRA Summer Camp is subsidizing this event to promote a cross association bit of fun. When they all start playing in the upcoming season these kids will know each other and expand our community.
There will be a bare bones event (hence the price) but top banana awards will be given to hard working teammates. Hopefully everyone likes bananas lol.
Goalies playing 2+ games will receive a VRA goalie patch and they may be able to play for multiple teams to get more games if we’re running short. Equipment for goalies will be provided by VRA if needed.
Teams of individuals born 2014 to 2018 will be created based on individual registrations. Since teams will be mixed we need to know a bit about your players such as positions preferred (at least 2), number of years playing ringette and skating and how many goals they made last season (estimated). We will try to group some friends together but part of the goal for this tournament is to meet new people so we hope everyone is open to that.
Players registered for the 2024 season are welcome to register without paying insurance but those who did not register for the 2024/25 ringette season will have to pay an additional insurance fee.

$225 5 hour camp for FUN2 + Insurance for non-registered players
Camp is run by VRA players who have attended camp and are committed to making this a fun experience for all the kids. It is a great way for FUN2 to U16 aged players to get back on the ice before the season and this year it’s going to be even better as we are ending the camp with a U10/U12 weekend tournament (additional fee and registration required).
Camp will be at Trout Lake with the following ice times to start the day.
7:45am FUN2
8:30am U10
9:30am U12 and U14/U16
Participants will be grouped into the division they play in the upcoming season though adjustments may be made as needed based on registrations. U10, U12 and U14/U16 have 8 hours at camp with 3 ice times for skills, skating and scrimmages every day. Off ice is time to play board games, crafts, outdoor sports, strategy and a special event (in the past we’ve had bubbleball, archery, waterfights, roller skating). Camp ends with a free skate and pizza party on the Friday.
We look forward to getting players from around the LMRL joining us. Questions can be directed to VRASummerCamp@gmail.com or 604 765 8650. In all communications it’s helpful to include full player name and division.
