VRA Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with VRA!
VRA works because we all do. THANK YOU to all the players and parents who help make VRA a great organization!
This year we will be working together to engage parents and players in small volunteer tasks throughout the season. We will be working towards having every family contribute at least 5 hours of volunteer time over the course of the year. Part of this involves clearly outlining what needs to be done and what time commitment is involved.
All VRA volunteers, on and off the ice, are required to submit the Volunteer Screening Form in addition to completing Safe Sport at a minimum. Please refer to the Team Leadership Guidelines at the following link:

September
- Gear Swap and Sale
- Player Evaluation
- On-Ice helper for Fun 1, Fun 2 and U10 (must complete a criminal record check and division appropriate courses)
- Manger (required for every team at all levels)

- Name bars
- Photo Day

- Christmas Party
- Overseeing organization and coordination of volunteers!
- Mascots on public ice
- Managing RSVPs
- Organizing decorations
- Organizing food
- Setting up room
- Organizing games
- Tidying up room
April
- Year end coordination
- Collecting and washing jerseys
- Storage
- Collecting used gear
- VRA Board positions will be available as terms expire
- Year End Party and AGM

- Hillcrest Days
